Dr. Randel S. Carlock is the first Berghmans Lhoist Chaired Emeritus Professor in Entrepreneurial Leadership and was the founding Director of the Wendel International Centre for Family Enterprise at INSEAD. He has an Executive MBA degree and his PhD explored fast growing entrepreneurial organizations. His training in family therapy started with a post graduate certification in family and marriage therapy at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College of Medicine, University of London (1998) and a certificate in psychodynamic counselling at Birkbeck College, University of London (1999). He was awarded a Certificate in Family Business Advising with Fellow Status (2001) by the Family Firm Institute, Boston, MA (USA). He completed The Art and Practice of Leadership Development at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government in 2011 and in 2015 Strategic Family Therapy Training at the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto.

Carlock is internationally recognized for his research, teaching and advising on family business, leadership, strategy, and governance. Carlock is the author or co-author of seven books, his INSEAD case studies have sold over 25,000 copies and he has written chapters in two edited coaching books. His latest book, A Family Business on the Moon, was published in the Fall of 2018. Carlock has over 25 years of management and leadership experience serving as a CEO and Chairman of four companies he founded including a NASDAQ listed firm and as a director of two NASDAQ firms. He advises global business families and corporations on strategy, leadership development, family relationships and governance specializing in Asia, the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East. His corporate experience includes ABN AMRO, Apple, Baltic Brewing, Cargill, Carlson Companies, Chalhoub Group, Financial Times, GAP, HSBC, IBM, JP Morgan, Julius Bär, KPMG, Nippon Gakki (Yamaha), Petronas, Pictet, PWC, 3M, Target, UBS and the Wates Group.

Keng-Fun advises business families and companies in around the world on communication and planning. She holds the Family Firm Institute (FFI) Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising, and is Chair of the FFI Asian Circle study group.

She is Lecturer of Family Business at INSEAD, Co-Academic Director of the YPO INSEAD Global Family Enterprise Program and the program director for the Financial Times' first Family Business Forum at INSEAD Asia Campus. She is co-author of A Family Business on the Moon: 24 activities to plan your family and business future (2018) with Prof. Randel S. Carlock and has written about family business for publications that include the Singapore’s Business Times, the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong.

Keng-Fun has over 25 years working with wealthy and business families in Asia, Europe, and the U.S.. With 20 years at Citi, she is a veteran in communicating complex concepts to a broad spectrum of high net worth clients through her senior roles as market head, head of customer experience, and marketing director. She was head of marketing for Asia Pacific at Credit Suisse for four years before joining Standard Chartered as Senior Advisor for its new wealth management transformation strategy.

In 2018, Keng-Fun founded Family and Business Learning, creating the platform for the world’s first 360° online assessment tools for business families to address their unique challenges, accelerate their learning, and function more effectively.
